About us

Reviewed 19 October 2026 · Information for England and Wales

non-molestation.co.uk is run by Non-Molestation Order - No Cost. We exist so that anyone who needs protection from a partner, ex or relative can get their court papers drafted properly, for free.

How we help

  • We draft your FL401 application and witness statement from the answers you give us online.
  • Where your address has to stay hidden, we prepare form C8.
  • We check whether legal aid could pay for a solicitor to act for you.
  • We send you plain-English instructions for signing your papers and filing them at your local Family Court.

Where our help stops

We are not solicitors and we can't represent you at court. We don't file the application for you – you sign it and send it, so you keep control. The information on this website is general information about the law of England and Wales, not legal advice on your particular circumstances.

The people behind it

Our team has hands-on experience of family law and domestic abuse injunction work, including paralegal work in a law firm. We check our guides against the Family Law Act 1996, the Family Procedure Rules and current HMCTS guidance, and each page shows when it was last checked.

For support workers and referrers

IDVAs, refuge staff, support workers, university law clinics and charities are welcome to refer people to us or complete the questionnaire alongside them. Email us if you would like referral leaflets.

Get in touch

Email support@non-molestation.co.uk. Urgent applications are dealt with first. If you are in danger, don't wait for a reply – call 999.

Let us draft your court papers – free

Tell us what has been happening, in your own words. We write up your FL401 application and supporting statement at no cost, then explain how to sign them and get them to the Family Court. The court charges nothing either.
